"Daughters" Projects Still Need Help
We continue to be excited about the progress of the ministry at the Nancy Cole Women's Home. With your help, many of the "Daughters of the King" projects have been finished. Here is a list of the priorities that remain:
1. Cabinets and Counter Space for the Ruth Kitchen - $1,200
2. Storage Cabinets for the Martha Dining Hall - $800
3. Textbooks and Software for the Literacy Classes - $1,200
4. Furniture for the Lydia Clinic - $800
5. Computer for Receptionist - $600
6. Wardrobe Furniture for the Two Dormitories (20) - $2,000
7. Cushion Seats for the Proverbs 31 Family Room - $300
8. Screens to Protect Windows from Rocks - $1,200

The new building with a coat of paint (October, 2007). Two red signs have now been added. The cardboard in the windows will be removed when we add the protective screens over the windows (people on the street tend to throw rocks to get the attention of the girls!). One window has already been broken so this is a much-needed addition to the building.
We were able to serve American popcorn with the new microwave in the Ruth Kitchen.
A new counter/desk has been installed for the receptionist/bookkeeper and many pictures, certificates and motivational posters have been placed in the building.
A small desk has been purchased for Pastor Lilliam's office: The Mary (Mother of Jesus) Pastor's Office!
Bright chairs have been placed in the Proverbs 31 Family Room for the residents to use in watching DVD's, playing games, etc.
A TV stand has been purchased for the donated TV. We now have many good DVD's (most with Spanish tracks) that include some wonderful teaching tapes. We are showing the movie "Facing the Giants" in February and we just added "The Cross and the Switchblade" in Spanish! The cabinet (with a lockable bottom section) is used to store games and DVD's. We are adding a VCR player since we have many teaching tapes in Spanish and we are adding puzzles and additional games to the collection.
